To be successful as an HR intern, you should keep abreast of the latest developments in employment law, employee engagement best practices, and labor legislation. Ultimately, an outstanding HR intern should be detail-oriented and able to demonstrate excellent administrative and organizational skills. Assist in developing employee onboarding and orientation programs. Assist the HRBP with investigations of employee related concerns and work with management to ensure an appropriate resolution. Assist the HRBP with the employee hotline, employee portal HR sites, Collective Bargaining Agreement database, etc. Assist with planning and implementing employee engagement events Receives and responds to inquiries concerning employee policies and procedures and other location functions. Develop knowledge of human resources laws such as: FCRA, , ADA, EEO, I-9, e-Verify, and FLSA. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: In a human resource management program or studying toward a degree in human resource management or related field. Familiarity with Workday software is beneficial. Proven experience working in an office environment. Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
