InnerWorkings, Inc. Forklift Operator in Cincinnati, Ohio

Purpose of the Job The Forklift Operator is responsible for effectively executing warehouse duties for HH Global's facility located in Blue Ash, OH. Core responsibilities include, but are not limited to, loading and unloading trucks, picking and packi ng daily orders using a standard/sit down forklift, placing received material into storage racks while using WMS technology, and conducting inventory counts to ensure inventory accuracy. Key Responsibilities Operate a standard propane forklift. Use WMS technology to pick, pack and transfer material using barcodes and barcode scanners. Inspect inbound containers following process instructions. Receive inventory from trucks or containers and place in proper warehouse locations. Report any quality or inventory discrepancies to the Supervisor. Validate all counts of materials vs. BOL/ packing list. Accurately locate and identify stock for storage and retrieval. Report incoming shipment damage or documentation discrepancies to department Supervisor. Perform other duties as related or assigned for the benefit of the Company. Report safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to the Supervisor. Be dependable and flexible with work schedule/overtime as required . Use FedEx or UPS technology to create shipping labels for orders. Navigate through HH Global's ERP system to pull and print orders while the Supervisor is not on site. Work with the client freight forwarders to schedule freight pickups. Maintain a clean and organized work area and perform housekeeping duties as assigned by the department Supervisor. Knowledge, Skills + Experience 1+ years of working experience in a warehouse or production environment. Warehouse experience utilizing Warehouse Management System (WMS) preferred. Ability to operate a standard sit-down forklift. Ability to lift items by hand up to 60 lbs. Solid working knowledge and understanding of packaging and receiving functions. Basic math skills. Ability to produce neat and accurate work in a timely fashion. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to organize work, plan and meet schedules and deadlines. Cooperative and responsive to change, criticism, new ideas and company initiatives. Ability to perform under pressure and manage stress. Reliable and punctual. Able to make reliable judgments when handling work problems, and to use common sense, logic and critical thinking. Ability to generate new ideas , take corrective action, or make improvements; self-motivated. Versatile; willing to perform job related functions and assignments. Capable of creating and working with Excel files. Ability to keep a clean and orderly workspace and follow safety procedures. Ability to frequently stand and/or walk for extended periods. Visual, hearing and learning capabilities sufficient to perform all functions defined above. Work is generally performed during standard business hours, 7 AM through 3:30 PM Monday through Friday. Work is performed in a light manufacturing and warehouse setting. Work involves frequent exposure to warm and humid temperatures in a non-tempera ture-controlled facility. Work involves occasional exposure to noise, dust, moisture and non-toxic chemicals .
