Pepper Construction provides clients the experience and resources of a national company, combined with the hands-on approach of a local company. RESPONSIBILITIES: As a Laborer you may perform any combination of tasks to assist on the construction site. This position performs a wide variety of duties and tasks that often require them to assist other trades people including carpenters. Loading, unloading, and moving materials from within or near the construction site from pallets, skids, trucks, or other locations. Move materials to or from storage or work sites Driving equipment as needed Selective demolition, concrete placement or flagging Proficient in stacking and assembling materials into bundles Making simple repairs and adjustments to machinery or trucks Work independently and with little direction Have initiative to find work activities when waiting for next task directive Assist Carpenter's general partition layout, framing, sheet rock installation and other rough and finish carpentry work as assigned Build temporary protection including barricades, visqueen, floor protection, etc. General clean-up including vacuuming, sweeping, and rubbish removal Selective demolition of non-load bearing walls, ceilings, and flooring material and clean up of all demolition debris Other duties as assigned REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Relevant experience in commercial construction, preferred. OSHA 10, preferred. Operator's certificate, preferred. Ability to lift/push/pull up to 100 lbs. Detail-oriented, well-organized, and ability to multi-task. Task-oriented, reliable, and committed to meeting deadlines. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
