POSITION TITLE: FINANCE DIRECTOR                                                      FLSA STATUS: EXEMPT-SALARY

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position will oversee and manage all Accounting and Finance functions for the Luxfer Magtech Business Unit. The Finance Director reports directly to the VP/GM and is a key member of the Senior Leadership Team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • All aspects of financial reporting, including monthly results, quarterly results, and annual submissions for an SEC listed company

  • Preparation of annual budget and 3-year strategy plan that supports the Division’s growth

  • Responsible for updating financial forecast monthly and analyzing variances

  • Analytical support for decision-making across the company

  • Adherence to standard operating procedures associated with 100% SOX compliance

  • Providing timely, relevant, and accurate analysis of business performance, against budget, forecast and prior years; and maintaining standard operating procedures for the above

  • Assumes responsibility for maintaining accurate inventory and standard costing

  • Key member of the ERP steering committee

  • Point of contact for all audit work – Financial, SOX, Government contracts, etc.

  • Liaison with banks, insurers, health providers, workers comp insurers, 401k providers and other external agents.

  • Establish and maintain systems and controls that verify the integrity of all systems, processes and data, and enhance the company's value

  • Respond to Corporate as assigned with accurate and timely work to facilitate their financial needs

  • Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile a variety of special reports

  • Manage the accounting department and provide ongoing training and development

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting required; MBA preferred 

  • 5 years of experience managing a Finance/accounting team 

  • Industrial Manufacturing accounting required 

  • Cost accounting in a manufacturing setting required 

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel 

  • SOX Compliance experience preferred 

  • SAP experience preferred 

  • Essential success attributes

  • Knowledgeable about economic and accounting principles
