Job Overview The CECH Office of Recruitment, at the University of Cincinnati, is seeking an Admissions Counselor to assist in the administrative and operational activities of the department. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Student Recruitment, this position will primarily be responsible for the promotion, development, undergraduate student inquiry generation and enrollment growth for the CECH Early IT program. This person will also assist in the promotion of all CECH undergraduate programs that can support an early college model. Support in the day-to-day operations of the CECH Office of Recruitment, including generating undergraduate prospective student inquiries from various sources such as high schools and career centers. This role also involves networking, building professional relationships with stakeholders and industry corporations to promote the Early IT pathway and establish new partnerships for other CECH programs. Additionally, the position requires elevating the CECH brand through presentations and stakeholder visits to potential students or partners, staying updated on industry trends, recommending marketing changes, and participating in community and educational organizations to promote UC/CECH positively and build new partnerships. The role involves extensive travel, with 70-90% of the time spent on the road, and occasional weekends and overnight stays may be necessary to fulfill job responsibilities efficiently. The individual must have a comprehensive understanding of all CECH undergraduate programs, be knowledgeable about admissions processes, and strive to achieve established enrollment targets while contributing to the overall goals of the unit, department, and university. This position offers a hybrid work schedule for those with a residence within OH/IN/KY. Residence must be within the Cincinnati Tri-State area with reasonable distance to UC Main Campus to have ability to report to campus as required.
