Scarlet Oaks Driver/Maintenance Assistant in Cincinnati, Ohio

Scarlet Oaks is looking for a driver/maintenance assistant to drive our residents in our van/bus to local destinations. Must have a clean drivers license. We offer EXCELLENT wages and a top of the market benefit package! This a FT position for both roles. STNA Preferred

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible to fill in when maintenance director is on vacation or out of the building

  • Assist with any projects, repairs or audits that Maintenance Director needs help with

  • Maintain the grounds, facility, equipment in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, our established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by your supervisor, to assure that a successful maintenance program is maintained at all times.

  • Performs routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, or the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate

  • Repairs or replaces defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools

  • Assembles, installs or repairs wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery and equipment

  • Performs a variety of routine physical labor tasks, depending upon area of assignment, including posting general notices, pulling weeds, picking up litter, raking leaves and debris, planting, replacing light bulbs, and moving furniture

  • Performs cleanup at the end of the day or when the job is completed, including picking up tools, spills, and debris cleaning work areas and performing touch up work as needed

  • Sets up meeting areas for meetings and events

  • Performs other duties and tasks as assigned

  • Delegated administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary to carry out assigned duties

QUALIFICATIONS OF MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT/DRIVER: Candidate must have experience in the following:

  • Experience in long term care setting preferred

  • Perform routine maintenance and repair on the facility and equipment to include plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, etc.

  • Painting

  • Service heating and cooling units/systems

  • General Maintenance Duties

  • Driver Qualifications

  • They must have a clean drivers license

  • High School diploma

  • STNA Certification in OH

  • Experience Preferred
