The role of Data Governance shapes the processes, roles, policies, standards, and metrics that ensure the responsible, effective, and efficient use of information. ABOUT THE POSITION We're seeking an experienced Data Governance Specialist to work out of our Cincinnati, OH location (2-3 days/week). There may be flexibility on other strategic U.S. locations for the right candidate. The Data Governance Specialist will lead the evolution of our data products to meet the challenges of increasing scale and complexity in how we deliver governed, responsible, market-leading innovation to our clients. POSITION OVERVIEW This key position, within the Enterprise Data Governance organization, reports to the Data Management Operations Manager and is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of data governance capabilities aligned to strategies to ensure the proper retention of data, robust data governance practices, and compliance to data policies, standards, and processes. In this role you will: champion data governance and data initiatives and define Data Retention strategy and objectives while enabling business value. You will be a senior member with other data governance professionals who are responsible for the operational implementation and success of the initiatives defined by Worldpay's data strategy and data retention framework. WHAT EXPERIENCE WILL YOU NEED? Excellent communication and negotiation skills Data analysis skills with experience using enterprise tools such as Informatica IDQ, Informatica MDM, Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog, Informatica Axon, Collibra, and/or other metadata management tools High-level understanding of global Data Privacy Regulation (i.e. GDPR, CCPA), local data-centric regulations (i.e. SOX, GLBA), and industry best practices (i.e. AI Ethics, PII, DCAM, IAPP and PCI credentials and certifications) Ability to build relationships and credibility across the organization Experience working on data and analytical processes, interacting, and collaborating with Technology teams in development and implementation of solutions to enable data governance capabilities, mitigate risks, and drive awareness and adoption data governance
