Rotex Global, LLC Buyer/Planner II in Cincinnati, Ohio

Shift 1 (United States of America) Position Summary: Plan, coordinate and direct the Company's materials and inventory management activities in accordance with established policies and procedures. Manage procurement and production planning activities to support the global needs of our customers and the Company. Recommend specific projects and/or programs to improve the Company's performance. Manage areas of responsibility with consideration for the safety, efficiency, harmony and well-being of the Company and its employees. Work You'll Do: Review and process customer's orders and determine shipping dates to achieve maximum customer service. Coordinate and update production schedules to meet Customer Service needs while considering production capacity. Determine necessary purchased items required for the completion of customer orders. Conduct negotiations with suppliers as needed and place purchase orders for non-stock items to obtain the best possible value while meeting appropriate quality and delivery requirements. Notify the Stock Parts Buyer of potential shortages due to customer demand. Create and manage Manufacturing Orders and Purchase Orders to support the job function. Resolve issues by working with Customer Service, Engineering, and Production to manufacture product that will meet customer needs in the proper timeframe. Maintain production schedules to match customer requirements. Review, update and/or create routings and bills of material required to fabricate all manufactured parts and assemblies and schedule each manufacturing operation to achieve the end product in accordance with promised completion or shipping dates. Order and issue necessary engineering drawing prints to support orders. Be able to review engineering drawings for manufacturability and routings. Coordinate vendor schedules and interface with specific vendors to ensure that the delivery of critical machine components meets Rotex schedules. Communicate changes to the Sales Department. Review, create and maintain routings and bills of material in accordance with Inventory Control best practices. Review Returned Goods and canceled sales order materials and recommend disposition of these items. Assist in managing/reducing any excess stock. Assist in coordinating machine schedules with special customer inspection requirements and direct necessary activities to ensure compliance with those requirements. Engage in continuous improvement, being alert for opportunities for cost savings and process improvements. Develop and complete action plans toward the accomplishment of the objectives of the Production and Inventory Control Department as it pertains to the Company's business plan. Perform other assignments or duties appropriate to the overall responsibility of the position of Buyer/Planner. Team: This will be part of the Production planning team in Cincinnati. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent from a college or university with a focus in business; and/or 2-4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of ERP systems, inventory controls, and product flow Knowledge of bill of materials and blueprints Understanding of manufacturing; high mix, low volume setting.
