Under minimal direction, coordinates the compilation of technical reporting and analytics components of a project or program. Responsible for the design lifecycle of programs requiring advanced technical knowledge and utilization of advanced programming and database techniques. Competent to work at the highest technical level. Acts as the technical, reporting and analytics expert for the organization. Leads multiple projects for organizational data reporting, data extracts, visual dashboards and related metrics to inform decision-making, planning, and continuous improvement across UC Health. Responsibilities revolve around the collection, manipulation and dissemination of data to support the needs of decision-makers at all levels of the organization. Leads development projects with junior and intermediate staff and is responsible for the creation, documentation, and support of business intelligence (BI) solutions from Epic databases and other data-stores. Leads presentations of to all levels of the organization.Minimum Required: Bachelor's Degree - Business Intelligence/Analytics related field*. Preferred: Master's Degree - Business Intelligence/Analytics related field. *4 years equivalent experience can substitute for a BA/BS degree. | Minimum 1 Epic data model certification. Minimum 2 Epic Cogito Badges. | Minimum Required: 6 - 10 Years equivalent experience. Preferred: 11 - 15 Years equivalent experience. REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Demonstrated expert level experience using complex SQL queries to extract data from databases Experience with performance tuning of SQL queries and expert knowledge of database concepts This position requires demonstrable expert knowledge of database reporting tools including Excel, SAP Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports or other business intelligence tools Expert knowledge of Epic workflows and the reporting environments and tools including Radar and RWB Working knowledge of a business intelligence platform (e.g. Tableau, Power BI) Working knowledge of scripting language (VB or java) helpful Master of presentations to all levels of the organization Must possess a high level of customer service skills and participate as strong, collaborative team playerAnalytics Development and Support: Guides a team of analysts and/or programmers in the development and/or support of automated and manual reporting systems.
