The rank of the appointment (Assistant/Associate/Professor) is open and will be commensurate with the experience and professional accomplishments of the selected applicant. The successful candidate will join the Department of Surgery, Section of General Surgery, Division of Trauma Research, comprised of a group of surgeon-scientists funded by the NIH and Department of Defense, studying polytrauma, traumatic brain injury, resuscitation, and the cellular and physiologic responses to blood product utilization. In addition to the basic science focus of these research groups, the UC Department of Surgery maintains a cooperative agreement with the United States Air Force to promote basic, translational, and clinical research dedicated to the transport, care, and recovery of the wounded warrior. This position is located on the University of Cincinnati, College of Medicine campus in the exciting and growing city of Cincinnati, Ohio.
