Job Overview The Office of Undergraduate Admissions is searching for an Assistant Director for Transfer Admissions, in the UC Transfer Center, to engage and support prospective students in all phases of the recruitment process to advance UC's strategic enrollment goals. As a member of the Transfer Center Team, this role will focus on transfer student, adult learner, veteran, and military student recruitment. The Assistant Director will plan, participate in, and assess the impact of transfer recruitment strategy to promote UC as a transfer destination. The Assistant Director's responsibilities also include serving as a liaison with key institutional and external partners. A successful candidate is an entrepreneurial thinker who models dynamic territory management strategies. This role reports to the Director of the UC Transfer Center. A successful candidate is highly collaborative and demonstrates an understanding of best practices in recruiting and enrolling transfer students, adult learners, veterans, and military students. This position will offer flexibility for a hybrid remote work option for applicants with a residence within the Cincinnati Tri-State Area. The hybrid arrangement is 60% in the office, and 40% remote. Hybrid remote work arrangements are subject to change by university policies. Essential Functions Assist in the determination of policies and procedures for the recruitment and admission of students. Advise and maintain liaison with the directors of various projects and special programs on campus and in outside agencies regarding admission of target populations. Coordinate admission of students including counseling students and parents, reviewing applications, determining eligibility, and recommending alternatives whenever appropriate. Assist in determining budget needs for respective areas. May coordinate student recruitment for assigned geographic areas. Lead efforts associated with a function of the Office of Admissions such as recruitment, communications, events/visits, operations and processing, or the recruitment of strategic populations and associated programs. Represent the Office of Admissions at the state and national professional meetings, college fairs, etc. May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.). Perform related duties based on departmental needs. This job description can be changed at any time. Required Education Bachelor's Degree. Required Experience Three (3) years of relevant experience. Some positions may require specialized experience. Additional Qualifications Considered Master's Degree. Experience with Slate or other CRM software. Previous supervisory experience.
