Description Accounts Receivable Representative I's are responsible for preparing, records, verifies, analyzes and reports accounts receivable transactions, and posts customer payments on a timely basis. Maintains and reconciles accounts receivable ledger accounts, financial statements and reports. May provide a variety of credit and collection functions. Responsibilities of Position: Open mail via the sorter machine and ensure payment and remittance match and scan into system. Ensure that all types of payments are batched for editing and posting. Review scanned images and edit for accuracy. Research payments received without remittances. Data entry to prepare cash and checks for bank deposit. Process customer advance payments and apply to upcoming bills. Respond promptly and courteously to inquiries from customer service representatives and other internal personnel to resolve issues. on accounts involving missing or misapplied payments. Post requests to apply unapplied payments to open invoices. Research unapplied cash. Maintain confidentiality of customer information. Work with Accounts Payable to review uncashed refund checks and payments marked for unclaimed funds. Other duties as assigned. Skills & Abilities Needed for Position: General knowledge of office functions. Basic understanding of Accounts Receivable processes. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills. Excellent customer service skills. Excellent math and data entry skills. Ability to work efficiently and effectively, independently and as a team. Solid analytical capabilities with good attention to detail. Good technical skills, particularly with Windows and Microsoft Excel. Ability to work in a fast paced environment. Must be able to react well under pressure and treat others with respect. Maintain confidentiality of customer information. Additional Working Conditions/Aspects: Ability to work overtime, weekends and/or holidays. Legally eligible to work in the United States. Valid driver's license (if applicable). Must successfully complete pre-employment testing. Must be able to read and speak the English language.
