Job Description:

The Cable Assembly Technician will be responsible for p erforming a variety of assembly and wiring operations at various levels of assemblies, working from engineering drawings, schematics and/or wiring diagrams.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform a variety of harness and cable assembly installations.

  • Translate blueprint instructions, operation sheets and computerized directions into specific building requirements and action.

  • Utilize “Assembly Instructions”, drawings, blueprints and/or schematics to perform bench builds of various wire assemblies.

  • Identify and follow all production processes.

  • Assemble various cable units to required tolerances and requirements.

  • Perform a variety of functions including cable stripping, crimping, soldering (IPC cert a plus), wire dressing and assembly of components.

  • Must be able to sit or stand for up to 8-10 hours

  • Fine motor dexterity

  • Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions, engineering drawings, blueprints, wiring diagrams and schematics.

  • Hand-eye coordination and depth perception

  • Concentrated mental/visual demand, periodic use of magnification

  • Must be able to lift 30 lbs. and 50 lbs. assisted

  • Familiarity with solder processes and Resistor (IPC) color code.

  • Perform other similar and related duties as required or assigned by supervisor.

    Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with three (3) years’ experience in cable assembly.

  • Must obtain an IPC 620 and J Standard Certificate once hired as a condition of employment.

  • Must be a US Citizen.

    Preferred Skills:

  • Electronic assembly experience within the aerospace, defense, or medical industry.

    In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $23.50 hr. - $24.80 hr. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
