TETON COUNTY SHERIFF Deputy Sheriff in CHOTEAU, Montana

The Teton County Sheriffs Office is accepting applications for a full-time Deputy Sheriff, position starting wage is $24.74/hr. After a year of the successful employment rate of pay is DOE. Sheriff Deputy duties and responsibilities include performing the duties of a Deputy Sheriff as prescribed by Montana State statute. This includes but is not limited to, responding to calls from citizens for service in a variety of law enforcement assignments. Being able to deal with stressful circumstances in all situations, in all types of weather, and work all hours. Perform quality and detailed work, communicate effectively with others, and be physically fit to deal with the job's hazards, including the apprehension of suspects in crimes and investigation of crimes as needed. There will be unseen circumstances that working solo will be required. This position requires the applicant to be able to pass a medical exam and psychological evaluation. Applicants will be able to obey rules, and regulations and follow the instructions from supervisors. Applicants must show a desire to work with the public to solve problems, show strong self motivation to work cases to a conclusion, and demonstrate the highest degree of integrity, maturity, and confidentiality. Computer skills are a must and able to adapt to changing technology. A long term commitment to living and serving the citizens of Teton County is desired.
