Description

OVERVIEW

Cadrex is searching for a Press Brake Operator I to set up and operate metal bending machines (Press Brake) following quality/quantity standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to management or the designer

  • Perform quality inspection/checks per quality documentation/control plan

  • Maintain work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures

  • Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to management or the designer

  • Perform quality inspection/checks per quality documentation/control plan (including documentation of results)

  • Identify different types of material – Aluminum, 5000 series Aluminum, Steel, Stainless Steel, Paint Grip, Galvanneal, and Galvanized

  • Uphold site efficiency standards

  • Learn and demonstrate continuous improvement for site Safety and Quality standards and procedures

  • Meet the standards of the site attendance policy

  • Assist in other work areas as assigned

Requirements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, blueprints, memos, and simple instructions

  • Knowledge of basic business math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division

EDUCATION

  • High School diploma

LOCATION

  • Onsite - Chippewa Falls, WI

SCHEDULE

  • Friday-Sunday, 5:45 am-6:15 pm

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally loud.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
