Job Title: Medical Laboratory Scientist II
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Laboratory Scientist II to join our dynamic team. You will determine the acceptability of specimens for testing, perform routine and complex technical procedures, and ensure proper functionality of laboratory instrumentation. You will also prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls, report accurate and timely test results, and perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures. Additionally, you will assist with specimen processing, maintain a safe work environment, and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary.
Hard Skills
Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or meet local regulatory CLIA State requirements
2-4 years of clinical laboratory testing experience
State Medical Technologist license (if required)
ASCP or AMT certification (if required)
Proficient with computers
Familiarity with laboratory information systems
Soft Skills
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
High level of attention to detail
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to pass a standardized color vision screen
Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs
Work Environment
Monday - Friday 2:30 p.m. - 11 p.m. plus weekend and holiday rotation. Training will be provided on the day shift.
