Requisition Summary

DIRECTS MANAGERS IN A LARGE MANUFACTURING AREA TO ATTAIN SAFETY, QUALITY, AND PRODUCTION OBJECTIVES ACROSS ALL PRODUCTION SHIFTS.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

-Identify, prioritize and present improvement opportunities to the Quality Manager and others.

-Ensure that quality improvements are successfully implemented and sustained.

-Develop and implement procedures to track problem resolution and communicate results.

-Coordinate follow-up and integration of action items across all responsible organizations, including Production, Engineering, and Materials.

-Review PQI issues and participate in root cause analysis and corrective action.

-Support retention of ISO-9001 certification.

-Ensure plant employees receive the necessary training in quality concepts and basic improvement techniques.

-Work with suppliers to confer on specific quality problems and establish inspection practices for vendors to meet company standards.

-Effectively support other functions as directed by the Quality Manager.

-Strong working knowledge of DOE, SPC, GD&T, and Corrective Actions Processes

-Ability to interpret and understand engineering drawings

-Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree required.

• Working knowledge of continuous improvement tools and methodologies, training and experience in use of Six Sigma tools.

• Prefer Certified Quality Engineer or Certified Quality Manager

• Prefer 3 years experience in a quality role

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to train others on improvement concepts

• Demonstrated leadership skills

• Effective conflict resolution skills

• Ability to drive change and get results

Education

BACHELORS DEGREE REQUIRED
