Goodwill Industries of South Central Ohio, Inc. eCommerce Manager (Day shift M-F weekly pay) in Chillicothe, Ohio

Do you yearn for a job with meaning? Goodwill's eCommerce and retail store team is a key part of our mission to partner with individuals with disabilities and challenges to help them lead the lives they envision. The more successful our donated goods team is, the more we can dedicate to our mission service programs and our employees.

Our eCommerce team receives highly-desired donated items from our eight retail stores to post on an auction-style website for sale. Listers are responsible for proper handling of items, taking clear photos which properly showcase the items, and accurately describing the items when posting them on the auction site.

The eCommerce manager is responsible for managing resources, especially other employees, and maintaining a great working relationship with the missions team and their participants. The ideal candidate will be able to work with people from a variety of backgrounds, be able to communicate clearly and effectively and follow instructions. Prior retail management experience preferred. Other key qualifications include:

  • Exceptional analytical and decision-making skills; oral and written communications skills; systems analysis and evaluation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability through prior experience to work and manage all types of people, including those with disabilities. A self-starter who can work independently and as a team player. Able to organize and carry out multiple duties without assistance. Able to deal with stressful situations.
  • Pleasant personality and neat appearance.
  • Demonstrated advanced proficiency with computers and software programs, such as Excel, Word, and cloud-based software.
  • Demonstrated advanced proficiency with a smartphone and apps, most especially messaging and social media such as Facebook.
  • Must pass Goodwill-approved drug test. Will be subject to the company's random drug testing procedures.
  • Must pass a Goodwill-approved criminal background check and not appear on any government registries that track abusers or other such offenses.
