Copeland Tax Analyst in Chihuahua, Mexico

Responsibilities:

  • General Ledger specific reports for internal and external use.

  • Financial Statements preparation.

  • Maquila Sales recording.

  • YOY variances in Financial Statements.

  • Tax Recording and preparation for US and MEX GAAP.

  • Balance Sheet Reconciliation.

  • VAT Analysis.

  • Prepare and execute VAT returns.

  • Preparation of VAT information for government.

  • Request Invoice numbers and invoices used to the government.

  • Preparation and execution of Provisional Payment (monthly)/

  • Cash Flow analysis and pull.

  • Debit Memos to head office and/or intracompanies.

  • Prepares information for internal and external auditors.

  • Controls and maintains Statutory Legally Entity; electronic accounting requirements and updates.

  • Prepares and presents reports to the Economy Secretary.

  • Reviews Fixed Assets process.

  • Annual Physical Inventory Coordinator for Finance.

  • Supports Controller with purchase orders approvals and accounts are being used properly.

  • Comply with the company policies, procedures, and external normativity in EH&S, labor, trade compliance, taxes and legal.

  • Local Treasury coordinator: ensures local currency account is funded on a weekly basis, and follows up with head office maquila payments to US currency account.

Authority:

To request corrections to accounting records.

To approve Porchase Orders in Controller’s absence.

Toe take care of any government requirement in tax compliance.

Basic Requirements:

  • Public Accountant and/or Business Administration. Master’s degree a plus.

  • Minimum 5 years experience in general accounting and tax compliance.

  • Knows and executes month end closing and year end income tax return.

  • Tax Compliance in USGAAP/MEXGAAP

  • Issues financial statements to head office/holding.

  • Controls and manages CIP.

  • Creates and consolidates data for internal and external auditors.

  • Responsible for VAT Returns.

  • Handles well MRP/ERP systems (JDEdwards, Oracle, SAP )

  • Strong use and application of Office (Word, excel, PowerPoint).

  • Manages electronic invoicing.

  • Fluent in English.
