VTL Machinist - 2nd Shift Reference - EPR007868 Location - Chicopee, MA, USA Type - Full Time Job Category - Operations To set up VTL and machine to finished dimensions with tolerances \<.0005\" with a wide variety of parts, with limited supervision, which includes, but is not limited to precision parts, split cases, spherical parts, and multiple segmented parts. Job Responsibilities Operate Machinery and Equipment following all safety requirements. Able to Operate Machinery independently making necessary tooling changes and off-sets to the program. Perform required Self Inspection of parts as they are produced. Record the required inspection data on Self-Inspection Reports. (SIR\'s) Maintain production levels as to meet Standards. Crane Operation Skills for material handling or machine fixture movement. Follow Job Travelers, Procedures, Drawings and Work Instructions to perform Technical requirements for product manufactured. Handle material safely and in accordance with safety requirements. Maintain House Keeping requirements for the Work Station assigned Required Skills / Knowledge Must be able to interpret Blue Prints, Process Documentation and mathematically determine machine Off-sets. Ability to read all measuring and gauging instruments, work instructions. Good mechanical aptitude and dexterity Experience Minimum 3yrs of Manual or CNC VTL machine operation experience or Trade School Diploma with machining experience.
