Job Description:

Ferguson is looking for a Sales & Service Support Representative Intern beginning May 28th 2024. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands on experience in the field Sales & Sales Support with our successful multi-billion dollar organization!

The Opportunity:

Ferguson is seeking candidates for a Sales Support & Service Internship. This is paid internship can that will be based in our Chico, CA location. The working hours between 8:00am-5:00pm PST and offers approximately 40 hours per week. Compensation for this position will be $16.50/hour

Over the course of the internship, you will be exposed to a variety of facets within Ferguson’s Sales & Sales Support team, through practical experiences supplementing your classroom education. We approach training from a hands-on perspective and believe in growing our associates from the ground up!

Job Responsibilities:

  • Gain Practical Experience: Immerse yourself in the dynamic world of Ferguson through hands-on experiences. This internship provides an opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge from the classroom to real-world scenarios, offering a valuable supplement to your education.

  • Exposure to Various Business Groups : Explore diverse facets within Ferguson's Sales & Sales Support team. From customer interactions to backend support, you'll have the chance to witness and contribute to various aspects of the business process. This exposure will help you develop a comprehensive understanding of the industry.

  • Professional Growth: Ferguson believes in nurturing talent from the ground up. This paid internship not only provides a structured learning environment but offers the potential for professional growth. As you contribute to the team's success, you'll gain valuable insights and skills that can pave the way for a rewarding career after college.

  • Conduct self in a professional and productive manner, representing the Ferguson internship program at all times.

  • Complete a presentation at the end of the internship highlighting lessons learned and insights gained from the program

Qualifications:

  • A student attending either a college university or trade school, in pursuit of a relevant degree with interest in business, sales, service, operations, or a related field

  • May be a college/trade school student at any level (you may be a sophomore, junior, or senior level)

  • At least 3 days per week in office at our Chico, CA location

Other qualities of a successful intern are:

  • Interpersonal and analytical skills with a strong attention to detail

  • Ability to engage, encourage, and influence people at all levels

  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and handle deadlines

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
