Aerotek Mechanical Assembly Fabricator (Direct Hire) in Chico, California

Description:

The Manufacturing Fabricator/Welder will be responsible for establishing process and fixturing required for new vehicle builds. Work with engineering and operations to set-up new features and vehicle models. This includes building sub-assemblies to be installed in vans or fabricating parts from raw metal to make assemblies work. Proving out installation methods prior to releasing to production. Create fixtures from engineered drawings or parts to ease installation during production.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Automotive experience in some capacity: Auto Body work, Mechanic, Technician, Up-fitting, Accessory Installation, etc.

• Very mechanically inclined

• Conduct metal fabrication and use equipment for durability.

• Welding duties: Able to cut, weld, build and inspect welding equipment for durability.

• Must be comfortable using tools, plasma cutters, grinders, chop saws, drills, and tape measure, blueprints, torque wrenches, ratchets, sockets, wrenches, impacts and recognize welding symbols and specifications.

• Identify problems prematurely, make needed corrections, and have basic math skills with mechanical aptitude.

• Must be able to follow instructions and implement.
