Prominence Advisors Tableau Server Architect in Chicago, Illinois

Prominence is looking for a Tableau Server Architect with strong experience in setup, configuration and management of Tableau Server in both cloud and on-premises environments. Though not required for consideration, we’ll give stronger preference to candidates with general Windows, Linux or cloud administration experience in addition to Tableau-specific skills.

Requirements

  • Planning Tableau Server deployment

  • Installing and configuring Tableau Server

  • Configuring server authentication

  • Monitoring, maintaining, and scaling server deployments

  • Investigating and resolving server issues

  • Upgrades and patch management

  • Performing server maintenance (e.g., backups, updates)

  • Monitoring server performance and usage

  • Managing sites, users, groups, and content on Tableau Server

  • Creating sites

  • Creating and managing site users and groups

  • Creating projects to organize site contents

  • Assigning content permissions to users and groups

  • Monitoring content usage, success of extract refresh tasks, and user activity

  • Troubleshooting user issues with sites

STRONGLY PREFERRED

  • Tableau Server Architect / Tableau Server Admin certification

  • Experience with HIPAA regulations

  • Healthcare industry knowledge and experience

  • Linux and Windows system administration

  • Familiarity with AWS and/or Azure

  • Familiarity with Active Directory and other IAM systems

  • Experience with system monitoring, issue investigation, performance monitoring and performance tuning

  • Comfortable making hardware recommendations, including virtual hardware

  • Strong knowledge of security best practices
