Staff Accountant - Accounts Payable

Mandarich Law Group is one of the country's leading creditor's right law firm with offices in CA, NY, IL, MI, OH, GA and FL. We are currently seeking a Staff Accountant for our Chicago office. Full time 8:00AM to 5:00PM. In-office.

What You'll Do::

  • Review vendor bills for accuracy, enter them in the accounting system, and process payments in a timely manner

  • Review vendor statements, investigate and resolve any discrepancies

  • Reconcile credit card transactions daily - high volume

  • Perform monthly bank account reconciliations - high volume

  • Review and approve positive pay exceptions

  • Provide supporting documentation for audits

  • Maintain vendor files

  • Act as backup for biweekly payroll processing including timecard management

  • Complete ad-hoc analysis requests quickly while maintaining integrity and accuracy of data

    What You Need::

  • Ability to stay organized and prioritize tasks

  • Ability to communicate with vendors and colleagues effectively

  • Attention to detail

  • Confidentiality

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office. Highly skilled in using Excel; vlook-up, sumif and pivot functions

  • Preferred: Minimum one to three years of experience in Accounting

  • Preferred: Bachelor-s Degree or higher
