Position: Lead

Department: Shipping and Receiving Night 2:30 pm- 11:00 pm (Lead)

Position Summary : Responsible for supervising a team of Shipping clerks, managing shipping schedules, and maintaining accurate records of shipments. Your attention to detail, leadership skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will be essential for success in this role.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and assign work for employees.

  • Train new hires to meet department and company standards.

  • Involved with employee’s performance reviews and disciplinary actions.

  • Coordinate shipping activities, including packing, labeling, and loading/unloading shipments.

  • Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.

  • Prepare shipping document, including bills of landing and shipping labels.

  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, tracking numbers, and delivery confirmations.

  • Perform quality checks on outgoing shipments to ensure product integrity.

  • Address and resolve shipping-related issues or discrepancies promptly.

  • Collaborate with other departments, such as logistics and customer service, to meet delivery deadlines and resolve customer inquiries.

  • Communicate shipping updates and issues to management.

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    Physical Demands

  • Required to stand for long periods of time and walk frequently.

  • Must be able to frequently lift and/or move objects of 50 pounds or more.

  • Must be able to cover other shifts/overtime as necessary.

  • Must be able to bend and squat frequently.

  • Must be able to stand for 8 hours or more daily.

    Required Knowledge and/or Experience

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience and/or training; Or combination of education and experience.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Basic computer skills include Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.

  • Ability to read English.

  • Ability to read picklist and orders.

  • Must have strong math and metrology skills.

  • Ability to work and communicate effectively with others.
