RWE Clean Energy Senior Manager, Solar Project Management in Chicago, Illinois

The Senior Manager, Solar Project Managment role will lead the execution of renewable energy projects including definition of project scope and development of budget and schedules.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide highly competent technical leadership resulting in successful project delivery

  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders and provide them with appropriate direction and focus to ensure alignment of project goals and objectives in accomplishing tasks and activities

  • Coordinate project workflows across multiple departments including Development, Engineering, Procurement, Energy Marketing, Operations, Transmission, Finance and Groups internal or external to RWE Renewables to ensure overall compliance with the project objectives, contracts, budgets and schedules

  • Perform Quality Analysis/Quality Control of key deliverables related to projects and tasks managed, as well as projects and tasks managed by others

  • Proactively manage the execution of project contracts and perform review and approval of change orders and invoices

  • Assure the timely execution of the project within the established schedule and budgetary constraints and in compliance with safety, reliability, quality and regulatory requirements

  • Maintain appropriate communication with senior management and all project groups and functions within and outside the company. Prepare and distribute progress status reports, as required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Construction related field from an accredited university

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or Professional Engineer (PE) is a plus

  • Minimum 7-15 years of relevant work experience; 5+ years of progressive project management experience

  • Construction field experience is preferred

  • Demonstrats desire to learn about the Company and the renewables space

  • Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Teams

  • Strong leadership and communication, and ability to meet deadlines

  • Strong organization skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverables

  • Ability to multi-task, while working independently and as part of a team

  • Motivated self-starter, goal-oriented, and strong problem-solving abilities

  • Proven ability to empathize, build relationships, and effectively communicate with people from a diverse set of backgrounds

  • Able to travel 25% to 50% of the time

Pay range: The annual base salary range for this position in New York is $168,000 - $200,000. The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position and represents the range for new hire salaries across all U.S locations. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. RWE considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s education & work experience, training & certifications, and key skills as well as market and business considerations at the time of the offer.
