Key Responsibilities:

The Aircraft Health Monitoring team plays a vital role in increasing efficiency and reducing maintenance burden improving the on-time and completion performance of United's network by turning unexpected aircraft system failures into scheduled maintenance. The senior analyst will be responsible to leverage OEM, third party and United software to manage systems and create maintenance work orders to resolve impending failures with the intent of taking maintenance program credit. The role will work with Planning and Line Maintenance groups to verify compliance by ensuring prescribed work scopes are scheduled and actioned prior to due dates. They will also engage with engineering to troubleshoot aircraft with data transmission issues and monitor until transmission is restored.

  • Continuously monitor and action condition-based alerts that arise on systems and parameters approved for scheduled maintenance program credit. Make aircraft airworthiness determinations that provide economic efficiencies while maintaining or enhancing operational safety

  • Create work orders to address alerts, detailing plans by securing resources including work cards, parts, tooling, and required labor hours

  • Collaborate with Maintenance Planning to ensure that work orders are scheduled and actioned prior to exceeding compliance threshold

  • Monitor data health dashboard for delinquent aircraft. Investigate reasons and work with Aircraft Data Management and Engineering to troubleshoot as needed

  • Assist in obtaining approval for and support maintaining OpSpec D302 from FAA for IAHM program implementation

  • Participate in industry conferences and working together groups related to IAHM

  • Partner with Reliability and Maintenance Program Engineering to analyze system and parameter lead times and alert thresholds, and adjust to fit United’s operation

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant work experience

  • Aviation Maintenance or Engineering

  • 5 years in Aircraft Maintenance, Engineering, or related experience

  • Broad knowledge of aircraft maintenance operations

  • Ability to author and manage documents such as Maintenance Manuals, Standard Operating Procedures, Best Practices, Policies and Procedures etc.

  • Background in Microsoft office applications Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams

  • Oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to work autonomously in a group setting

  • Time Management skills

  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of this position

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification

The salary for this position is $80,775 to $118,470, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills. This range is based on a full-time schedule.
