Position: Scheduler

Task: Program Controls

Role Description: The scheduler interfaces with various teams within the organization to develop a detailed integrated schedules for the Capital Improvement Projects and monitor project performance.

Role Responsibilities:

• Maintain schedule controls on the Program.

• Review progress updates to EAM (Asset Management System) and updates P6 schedule accordingly.

• Review automated ENS (Electronic Notification System) emails to the public for accuracy.

• Review Contract Time Extensions and maintains the changes in the system.

• Monitor status of Project Schedules and ensures information is accurate across city systems.

• Maintain resource loading in P6 for timesheet system.

• Implement project controls and project management tools and methodology.

• Support contract processing and new project setup.

• On an ongoing basis, develop and maintain detailed project schedules, including resource loading schedule activities.

• Generate resource projection curves and cost forecasts based on the resource loaded schedules.

• Assemble progress reports and supporting documentation to meet project team and client requirements.

• Analyze data and build reports to support project monitoring and decision making.

 

Experience Requirements:

  • · 5-10 years of experience with Oracle P6

  • · Ability to analyze schedule data and render professional opinion on reasons for variances.

  • · Effective communication skills, both oral and written

  • · Demonstrated proficiency utilizing Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Outlook.

  • · Demonstrated diligence in detail.

  • · Ability to collaborate with stakeholders, contractors, and subcontractors.

  • · Knowledge of project controls procedures and practices

  • · Ability to assist in the preparation of construction scheduling specifications.

  • · Ability to understand construction drawings and specifications.

  • · Experience with construction cost tracking and cost control.

  • · Ability to give presentations of schedule reports to stakeholders.

  • · Ability to work in a challenging environment.
