Lodge Management Group Restaurant Servers and Bartenders - Pippin's Tavern in Chicago, Illinois

We are looking for experienced servers and bartenders in the Gold Coast/Streeterville area. This role will allow experienced servers and bartenders an opportunity to work with an award winning Chef in a rebranding of a Chicago staple. This position requires a passion for genuine hospitality and a desire to cultivate unforgettable experiences in a fun and exciting environment.

To be considered for this role, you should be legally authorized to work in a bar where alcoholic beverages are served and consumed. You should also be available to work in shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays (Blackout Dates for no time off requests may include, but are not limited to: St. Patrick's Day weekend, Memorial Day Weekend, Labor Day Weekend, New Years Eve)

Requirements

  • Provide excellent customer service to ensure guest satisfaction

  • Maintain a neat, organized front-of-house environment

  • Assist with opening/closing tasks and side work as outlined

  • Protect establishment and guests by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies (BASSET & Food Handler Certifications; any additional certifications as required)

  • Greet customers with a warm welcome and your name

  • Check identification to ensure that guests meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages

  • Take and serve drink orders and up-sell and cross-sell products; check beverages and food for quality and presentation before serving to guests

  • Check back on guests to ensure quality satisfaction with service and products

  • Respond appropriately to customer complaints and bring any issues to a manager

  • Obtain revenues by totaling charges; issuing bill; accepting payment; delivering bill and payment; returning change or credit card and signature slip to guests

  • Conclude dining experience by acknowledging choice of venue; invite guests to return

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Ability to interact with guests and provide excellent customer service

  • Strong people skills

  • Problem-solving and conflict management skills

  • Knowledge and passion for Chicago nightlife a plus!

  • Ability to lift/move up to 40lbs

  • Ability to stand/walk for entire shift

Other Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age

  • Must have flexible/late-night/weekend availability

  • Must provide or be willing to obtain both BASSET & Food Handler certifications

Benefits
