Duties include:
Drive delivery truck to deliver parts to commercial customers, including loading and unloading of parts
Complete vehicle safety checks per company policy and operates the vehicle within the safety guidelines
Consistently and courteously assist customers in a professional and prompt manner
Observe and report customer information, including customer buying habits and competitive intrusion
Work with the Parts Manager on account management, including distribution of invoices, cash handling and the processing of returns
Responsible for maintenance, cleanliness, appearance and the safe operation of company-owned delivery vehicles on a daily or weekly basis
Fill customer orders and ready them for delivery
Assist Shipping and Receiving in keeping the parts area clean, organized and stocked
Obeys all traffic laws and follows established traffic procedures
Verifies the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers
Presents bill and receipts and collects payment for goods delivered or loaded
Turns in receipts and money received from deliveries
Provides excellent customer service
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Valid driver\'s license with a clean driving record
Ability to frequently lift and move up to 75 pounds from floor to waist-height and from shoulder-height to floor
Ability to occasionally lift or move 100 pounds from floor to waist with assistance
Ability to work in all types of weather and move between inside and outside environment
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide
Ability to drive vehicles with a standard (manual) and automatic transmission
Have a good understanding of the metropolitan area and able to navigate from maps and directions
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to work with others in a team environment
Excellent organizational skills
Must be detail oriented
High school diploma or equivalent
