JPMorgan Chase Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion- Advancing Hispanics & Latinos Associate in Chicago, Illinois

The Office of Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) is responsible for developing and executing a firm-wide diversity and inclusion vision and strategy that ensures JP Morgan Chase continues to build and nurture an organization that encourages, and values, diverse perspectives in our workplace and our world-class content.

Advancing Hispanics & Latinos, as part of the Office of D&I for JPMC, is responsible for defining our global strategic priorities and impact metrics for our Hispanic and Latin communities, along with leading the execution of targeted global programs and initiatives.

The Associate in this role will play a key part in helping us execute against our strategy, supporting day-to-day execution and project management activities across our 4 DE&I Pillars: Careers & Skills, Business Growth & Entrepreneurship, Final Health & Wealth Creation and Community Development. This role will also support data analysis, strategic story-telling and stakeholder management, across significant components of the strategy. The ideal candidate must have excellent communication and analytical skills, a strong passion for the Hispanic/ Latin community, as well as a personal commitment to moving the needle on Diversity, Equity & inclusion internally and externally.

This role reports to the Global Head of Advancing Hispanics & Latinos (AHL) for JPMorgan Chase.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Help to execute on the Hispanic and Latino/a/x strategy, key objectives, and priorities

  • Support and execute on in our business growth and entrepreneurship, Financial Health & Wealth Creation, and careers & skills strategies

  • Drive day-to-day project management in these areas with our strategic pillar owners

  • Support the Office in driving Latin/Hispanic employee initiatives, in coordination with Employee D&I, ABP and HR partners, such as campus recruiting, internship and early career development programs, mentoring, and other targeted talent development opportunities, capitalizing on intersectionality across communities

  • Support the office with strategic Hispanic and Latin non-profit partners and external organizations, working closely with Corporate Responsibility on philanthr opy, non-profit engagement, government relations and policy matters that impact the community

  • Support reporting needs and analysis for DEI initiatives

  • Maintain a strong controls environment by adhering to risk/control expectations, procedures and processes

Qualifications

  • Proven track record on driving and delivering meaningful change for the Hispanic/Latin community; well connected with external organizations

  • Exceptional project management and analytical skills, curious and adept at problem solving

  • Strong ability to articulate concepts and strategies and translate content into executive level presentations that can be delivered to stakeholders at all levels internally and externally

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize initiatives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment; ability to navigate across a matrixed organization

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (verbal and written); self-directed, proactive, and detail and results-oriented

  • Ability to handle confidential information, effectively escalating risks and potential issues with urgency, care and sensitivity

  • Basic understanding of the financial services industry
