Robert Half National Sr Business Intelligence Analyst in Chicago, Illinois
The Business Intelligence Senior Analyst is responsible for executing various assignments within the Finance process with emphasis on management reporting using MS Power BI and Power Apps. The Analyst handles multiple tasks from development in Power BI, data requests, report enhancements, and data analysis. He/She will develop a solid understanding of the overall business strategy and needs of the practice as well as industry, solution and geographical trends. The position should have strong communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of local practice and operations employees including MD and Global leaders. Representative duties are outlined below. In addition, the BI Senior Analyst will participate in broader initiatives to support Management, as needed. Specific Power BI, Power App, Tableau, or Domo development skills are a plus.

Discern and describe internal and external drivers impacting performance and trending
Keep an eye on monthly and quarterly performance through comparison of actuals versus expectations and enable business partners to handle their resources
Review performance to date and assess potential risks and opportunities
Cooperate closely with cross functional partners in Accounting and Operations to execute against plans
Control weekly, quarterly and annual Area/Segment-level Bookings and P& L forecasting
Aid Accounting on the monthly and quarterly financial close process
Merge with senior executives on strategic deep dives by developing financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation and prioritization
Equip effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide forward-looking insight and decision support
Demonstrate monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions required
Create and track forecasting reports
Requirements - Bachelor's Degree in Finance, MBA preferred
- Exceedingly skilled with financial reporting tools
Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Ingenuity to simplify complex problems and build solutions
5+ years experience with advanced financial analysis, planning and budget controls required
- Exceptional presentation skills
