Mortgage Loan Assistant

CHICAGO, IL

Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Mortgage Loan Assistant. The Mortgage Loan Assistant will work closely with our loan officers and borrowers to facilitate the mortgage application process. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of mortgage lending procedures, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Assist with Loan Applications: Guide borrowers through the mortgage application process, collecting necessary documentation, and ensuring all forms are completed accurately and on time.

Communication: Serve as a primary point of contact for borrowers, providing updates on the status of their loan applications and answering any questions they may have.

Data Entry and Processing: Input borrower information into our loan processing system, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all data.

Document Preparation: Prepare loan documents for underwriting and closing, ensuring all necessary paperwork is in order and compliant with regulatory requirements.

Coordinate with Team Members: Collaborate with loan officers, underwriters, and other team members to ensure smooth and efficient processing of mortgage applications.

Follow-Up: Follow up with borrowers, real estate agents, and other parties involved in the mortgage process to obtain any missing documentation or information.

Compliance: Maintain an up-to-date understanding of mortgage lending regulations and ensure all loan activities comply with applicable laws and guidelines.

Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the loan officers, such as scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and handling phone calls.

Requirements

Previous experience in mortgage lending or banking is highly desirable.
