Work Schedule: 8 Hr (9:00:00 AM - 5:00:00 PM)

Summary:

This person will be a security-cleared research team member employed by Rush and trained in safe storage and handling of breastmilk. Responsible for picking up pumped breastmilk from study subject’s homes, and returning it to the Rush NICU. Responsible for logging the receipt and transfer to the Rush NICU in real time. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Ensures safe transport of breastmilk from subject homes to Rush.

• Responsible for the completeness of the records of transport in accordance with hospital, department, and regulatory agency guidelines.

• Maintains security and confidentiality of all activities.

• Responsible for the efficient and effective use of equipment and supplies; reports problems related to equipment or shortages of supplies immediately to investigators or other designated study team member.

• Works under the general supervision of the principal investigators and project director.

• Adheres to the policies, procedures, and guidelines instituted by Office of Research Affairs and the Office of Research Compliance.

• Follow FDA, OHRP, and Rush guidelines in the collection of clinical data and/or administration of clinical studies.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Job Qualifications:

• High school graduate or GED equivalent.

• Previous experience in home visits or community health work

• Possession of valid US state driver’s license with access to personal transportation. 100% of time will be spent traveling throughout the Chicago Metro area and collar counties. Must have a prior driving record deemed acceptable to Rush based upon the results of a Motor Vehicle Report check conducted by Human Resources.

• Excellent verbal communication skills

• Dependable in attendance and job performance.
