Engagement Managers develop long-lasting client relationships and use their deep industry expertise to serve as a trusted advisor in the development and delivery of patient experience architecture. They lead cross-functional teams in a virtual format to build modern technology solutions supporting large-scale patient experience programs. They are passionate about acquiring, managing, and mentoring high-performing team members as well as the tools and techniques that they use.

The Manager, Experience and Engagement Management is responsible for the overall success of delivering an experience management program (e.g. Qualtrics XM). They have exceptional customer and project management skills with the ability to build strong, working relationships with clients at some of the largest organizations around the globe. As a healthcare subject matter expert, they leverage their knowledge of EMR integration and HL7 messaging to assist with program scoping and implementation project management. Key to success in this role is previous Qualtrics experience with the ability to thoroughly understand the value proposition and expertly navigate, problem-solve, and improve SaaS technology while working with external partners.

This role is at the heart of Huron’s relationship with our clients. They will create a remarkable onboarding experience to set the tone for the partnership. They will listen carefully to understand our client’s goals and, as trusted experts, communicate effectively how our solutions will address the complex challenges they face. Throughout the engagement, this person will partner closely with client leaders to ensure they realize the value of their new program and that new opportunities to mature their organization are identified and closed with renewals or expansions into other services.

Qualifications

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Lead project schedules that span the entire solution delivery lifecycle from design to release, ensuring on-time delivery of best-in-class solutions that truly delight our customers.

  • Lead a diverse, cross-functional project team and clearly communicating goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes to your project teams and partners.

  • Handle the client relationships, including all client communications with the clients’ Business owners and IT leaders.

  • Define programs, writing detailed functional specifications and delivering projects that meet dynamic business needs.

  • Lead project scope, budget, and resource allocation to ensure effective, efficient program execution.

  • Lead internal coordination efforts and communication, including regular project updates to our executive team.

  • Co-develop end-to-end test plans with Quality Engineering and for user acceptance testing.

  • At project conclusion, successfully transition the client and project to Support and Customer Success.

  • Support the building and scaling of Huron’s Experience Management team, by leading, advising, and growing team members to engage with clients on the consulting services and enabling technologies required to modernize and advance their experience management capability.

  • Possess expert knowledge of Huron’s Experience Management Solutions for the purposes of supporting engagement delivery and sales pursuits.

  • Strong leadership and management skills aligning to Huron’s core values and competencies.

  • Excellent communication skills – oral and written – and the interpersonal skills needed to quickly establish relationships of trust and collaboration.

  • The ability to train and participate in the professional development of Huron staff in both project management and technical dimensions.

  • Effective and efficient organization and planning skills with the proven ability to manage complex multi-workstream performance improvement projects or multiple concurrent client engagements, while delegating and overseeing the work of junior team members

  • Proven analytical and critical thinking skills required to synthesize complex data sets and interpret qualitative and quantitative data and trends to implement recommendations resulting in measurable performance improvement and successful organizational change.

  • Impactful and professional written and verbal communication skills; ability to set clear project team direction, develop key deliverables, escalate risks, and influence key stakeholders inclusive of client and internal senior leadership.

  • Ability to collaborate with team members and client counterparts to understand business challenges, adapt implementation methodologies and approaches to ensure results align with client’s business objectives.

  • Team leadership experience including building talent, training, supervising, coaching/mentoring, and providing feedback through performance management.

  • Employees are required to follow utilization set by practice and expectations are employees to manage to this.

  • Required to take all assigned instructed courses and trainings.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related technical field

  • 7-15+ years of technical program/project management experience

  • Minimum 10 years of experience focused on enterprise implementations in the Healthcare industry.

  • 3+ years at a top-tier consulting firm and/or relevant experience working for a SaaS company.

  • Excellent project management skills with success as the leader ultimately accountable for client delivery at large complex organizations with a proven track record for delivering projects with successful outcomes.

  • Strong program architecture skills with the ability to plan program roadmaps with customers and execute on these on time and on budget with quality at the forefront.

  • A cross-functional collaborator with internal and external consultants, engineers, executives, clinicians, and offshore support team members.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience focused on enterprise implementations in the Healthcare industry.

  • Familiarity with patient experience programs required.

  • Excellent project management skills with success as the leader ultimately accountable for client delivery at large and complex organizations with a proven track record for delivering projects with successful outcomes.

  • Strong program architecture skills with the ability to plan program roadmaps with customers and execute on these on time and on budget with quality at the forefront.

  • A cross-functional collaborator with internal and external consultants, engineers, executives, clinicians, and offshore support team members.

  • Excellent communication skills with attention to detail in client-facing documents and communications.

  • Strong executive presence with an ability to build relationships in the C-suite while serving as the primary contact for customer escalations and issue resolution.

  • Deep understanding of data analysis and visualization for client metrics and performance.

  • Proven success outperforming budgets and other financial targets for professional services.

  • Skill in proactively identifying and closing new sales opportunities for services and solutions through deep understanding of the value proposition for the client business and effectively communicating financial outcomes.

  • Experience driving the sales process by presenting service offerings and developing proposals.

  • Experience managing, mentoring, and inspiring a team of consulting professionals.

  • Experience developing quality management plans and principles for the team to adopt to ensure successful delivery and deployment of technology.

Preferred Experience

  • Master of Business Administration degree (MBA)

  • Possess strong vendor relationships in the Qualtrics vendor space.

  • Expert-level certification in Qualtrics EmployeeXM or CustomerXM

  • Experience leading Qualtrics patient experience implementations.

  • Experience with HL7 interface development or Qualtrics Health Connect.

  • Successful pre-sales support for RFP’s, demos, or in solution architecture development.

  • Proven success delivering services with over $1M in value.

  • Experience building a practice in a consulting organization.

  • A history of developing new solutions.

  • Extensive experience in healthcare change management and process transformation projects.

  • A blend of vendor or consulting experience, as well as internal-customer experience.

  • Experience working in a matrixed organization.

The estimated base salary range for this job is $105,000- $1445,000. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that Huron reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel. This job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s annual incentive compensation program, which reflects Huron’s pay for performance philosophy. Inclusive of annual incentive compensation opportunity, the total estimated compensation range for this job is $135,000 - $174,000. The job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s benefit plans which include medical, dental and vision coverage and other wellness programs. The salary range information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future.
