Adecco US, Inc. Maintenance Technician in Chicago, Illinois

We are a recognized leader in the forging industry with a longstanding reputation for producing complex parts. Our facility is located just south of Chicago in Bedford Park.

We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Mechanic . The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing preferably in steel, forging or machining. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced industrial maintenance mechanic that has a minimum of 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment. Applicants must be organized, self-motivated and able to complete tasks unsupervised.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Basic industrial electrical troubleshooting - basic schematics, PLC knowledge, fuse sizing, VOM usage skills.

  • Familiar with 120v single phase to 480v 3 phase systems.

  • Basic understanding of hydraulics.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude - interpret blueprints, read gauges, drill & tap holes, and the ability to use industrial hand tools.

  • Cutting torch and welding skills.

  • Inspect for defects, misalignment, wear and insufficient lubrication and determine the best process for making repairs with limited interruption to production

  • Diagnose and repair activities. Determine materials and replacement parts needed to proceed with repairs, maintenance and rebuilds

  • Maintain daily work logs and update equipment records

  • Adjust, calibrate, and lubricate machinery and mechanical equipment throughout the facility

  • This job involves lifting, pulling prying and ladder work.

  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • PLC programming

Salary: $20.00 - $35.00 hourly, depending on skills
