Job Description Summary

As the Finance Analyst of Point of Care Ultrasound and Digital Solutions, you will be responsible for providing financial planning and analysis (FP&A) across the entire SBU value stream. This role will serve as business partner to the operational team and provide decision support on capital allocation, new product development execution, supply and demand forecasting, supply chain resiliency, manufacturing productivity, new product commercialization, installed base management, pricing strategies, organic growth, and external partnerships. This role reports to the Finance Manager of Point of Care Ultrasound and Digital Solutions.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Support business leadership to establish growth playbook plans & operating plan and help deliver financial results & regional growth.

  • Provide sustainable and insightful analysis and reporting of key business metrics and partner with the operating team to drive appropriate actions.

  • Work with global region commercial and finance teams to understand the drivers of orders and sales vs Operating Plan (VOP) on revenue, sales margin (SM), average Sales Price (ASP), Cost of Good Sold (MMICV), Order/Sales Price Index (OPI/SPI).

  • Support the team to triangulate the quarterly estimate and range of outcome for sales and orders.

  • Evaluate New Product Introduction (NPI) Business Cases and track performance.

  • Partner with product leadership team to prioritize R&D projects and manage gross base cost spend. This includes business case preparation, ongoing maintenance, and product profitability analysis to optimize return on investment.

  • Assist in budget planning and execution of R&D and new business development programs

  • Lead quarter closes and ensure timely, accurate and complete results reporting, and analyze variances.

  • Lead reporting and analytics, both detailed and summarized view of the P&L.

  • Develop reporting packages & presentations for monthly senior leadership operation reviews.

  • Partner with Operations to create and deliver annual variable cost productivity (VCP) target and support annual costing process.

  • Work with manufacturing plants and sourcing to manage product end of life and minimize parts obsolescence.

  • Partner with operations team to set up and maintain reporting infrastructure including global product hierarchy (OPH), general ledger hierarchy (DRM) and labor tool reporting (LTR) to support financial analysis that aligns with monthly operating rhythm.

  • Educate product managers on business intelligence tools and help drive product pricing and product structure simplifications.

  • Lead cross functional projects to drive simplification and standardization throughout the organization and to improve rigor while reducing costs and improving compliance and simplification.

  • Ensure Compliance and Controllership across financial transactions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Economics.

  • At least two (2 years of experience in financial analysis.

Desired Characteristics

  • Solid operating finance expertise and rigor.

  • Experience in closing, analyzing, and forecasting (FP&A).

  • Strong analytical skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change.

  • Excellent communication skills: experience working across multiple levels (including executive level), functions, and regions; able to clearly communicate complex financial information in a simple manner; able to deliver messages effectively verbally and in writing.

  • Adaptable and agile, being open to change in response to new information or to unexpected circumstances.

  • Solid digital skills: experience with financial systems / applications (i.e.: Oracle, SAP, Hyperion, Business Objects etc.) strong Excel skills and data compilation and aggregation (i.e.: pivot tables, vlookup and macros).

  • Confidence and assertiveness. Possess influencing skills across business functions and the confidence to approach business leaders with difficult messages. Work closely with business leaders to achieve business objectives.

  • Integrity. Accepting and adhering to high moral ethical and personal values in decisions, communications, actions, and when dealing with people.
