Job overview and responsibilities

Exciting opportunity to be a part of a best-in-class product & engineering team to build a new product from the best and largest airline. The Lead AdTech Engineer designs, develops, and maintains advertising technology solutions, ensuring seamless integration with various platforms. Responsibilities include optimizing ad delivery, implementing targeting mechanisms, and knowing the latest industry trends to improve the efficiency of digital advertising campaigns. Strong programming skills, knowledge of ad-serving technologies, and the ability to collaborate with multi-functional teams are important for success in this role.

  • Translate product strategy and requirements into suitable, maintainable and scalable solution design according to existing architecture guardrails

  • Have a comprehensive view of how an engineering solution contributes and ties into the defined business outcomes; provide options for how the solution could be evolved to provide even more value

  • Use an experimental mentality to identify, evaluate and recommend alternative design options which take target environment, performance security requirements and existing systems into account

  • Drive testing and deployment of software solutions, including ensuring automated testing to ensure solution quality

  • Identify and share best practices with other teams as well as produce necessary documentation

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

  • 3+ years hands-on industry experience in software development, ideally in an AdTech environment

  • Proven experience in ad Tech or related field, with a strong understanding of ad-serving technologies (e.g., Google ecosystem, Live Ramp, etc.)

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.

  • Familiarity with real-time bidding (RTB), programmatic advertising, and ad exchanges.

  • The ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with other engineering teams to solve technical problems

  • Ability to support developments with A/B-testing

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Experience with cloud-based services (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud).

  • Knowledge of relevant ad Tech standards and protocols (VAST, VPAID, OpenRTB).

  • Familiarity with data analytics tools for performance monitoring and optimization.
