JPMorgan Chase Global Bank Payments Solutions Chief of Staff - Vice President in Chicago, Illinois

JP Morgan Payments delivers cash management, liquidity, commercial card and merchant services capabilities that resolve the working capital and efficiency challenges treasury professionals face today. Our payments platform is recognized as among the best in the industry, and we are committed to investing in a seamless, global operating model that differentiates us in the market. The Global Banking Payments Solutions organization is responsible for scaling and integrating payments platforms across the Commercial & Investment Bank, by defining the product strategy, segmenting clients and packing solutions against these segments, determining the end-to-end delivery strategy, managing product launches and enabling the sales teams.

As a Payment Solutions Chief of Staff Vice President within the Global Banking team, you will assist the Head of Payments Solutions and its Chief Financial Officer in managing daily operations, logistics, event planning, communications, and special projects. This highly dynamic and visible role demands leadership, stakeholder management, project management, and problem-solving skills. You will be a part of the Payments Solutions Business Management and will collaborate with Finance & Business Management, Payments Solutions, and the Commercial & Investment Bank.

Job responsibilities

  • Manage and prepare executive content (I.e., agendas, presentations, communications, follow-up items) for Global Bank Payments Solutions and Finance & Business Management leadership teams and stakeholder management

  • Assist and communicate with executives in decision-making, program management, and initiative implementation

  • Partner with key business and functional partners to drive and track progress against key initiatives

  • Manage events and logistics for Head of Payments Solutions and its Chief Financial Officer

  • Facilitating market visits for Head of Payments Solutions and its Chief Financial Officer, including team-wide socials and luncheons, meeting & building logistics, event talking points, Q&A preparation, etc.

  • Managing organizational communications, quarterly Town Halls, and leadership offsite logistics/agendas

  • Strategizing with market leaders to determine priority clients, staff, and leadership to engage with during market travel

  • Serve as business liaison between Payments Solutions, Finance & Business Management, and Global Real Estate to ensure sufficient seating capacity

  • Facilitate recognition, communication, and other activities to promote engagement

  • Develop and implement the organization's cultural strategy and initiatives

  • Plan and host team events to build trust, collaboration, and partnerships by helping colleagues connect on deeper levels

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills :

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field

  • 6+ years of related work experience

  • Demonstrate strong relationship and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to interact with senior business, sales, and functional executives.

  • Impeccable organization, project management, and communication skills

  • Ability to prioritize and escalate critical issues with required information to facilitate efficient decision making

  • Proven track record in end-to-end support of executive leadership

  • A track record of demonstrating a high level of personal initiative - setting and achieving challenging goals

  • Strong executive storytelling and presentation skills in written form and verbally

  • Works well independently or as part of a team

  • Strong PowerPoint skills required; high level of detail orientation
