    About the Role:

    This position is responsible for maintaining our facility, equipment and machinery in support of the fresh food production process. This includes everything from setting up and taking down manufacturing equipment and completing preventative maintenance to responding to emergency refrigeration calls. This role is a part of a team of Technicians, with some working shifts together and some independent shifts.

    Responsibilities as a Facilities Technician:

  • Maintains, diagnoses and repairs a variety of production and building equipment, such as; electrical motor and breaker panels, HVAC units, pneumatic tools and machines, conveyor systems, metal detectors, inkjet printers, and other manufacturing machines.

  • Uses hand tools, power tools and precision measuring and testing instruments to repair and maintain machines by using diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, etc.

  • Maintains office and interior spaces including; electrical, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, tile work, drop ceilings and painting. 

  • Responds to preventative and corrective maintenance tickets via ticketing system. Records maintenance and repair work performed. 

  • Works closely with other departments  to coordinate maintenance and repair events.

  • Ensures that work areas are left clean and that maintenance shop is organized.

    Necessary knowledge, skills, and experience:

  • Able to stand and work for long periods of time (8+ hour shifts) in a cold environment (around 40 degrees) and in a hot environment.

  • Must be able and willing to work in refrigerated coolers (38⁰F)

  • Lifting 100 lbs maximum with the frequent lifting and/or carrying objects up to 50 lbs

  • Must be able to use:  hand tools, power tools, precision measuring tools, computers

  • Experience with Google Suite preferred

  • Vocational or Trade experience a plus

  • Must be able to climb fixed access ladders and standard ladders.

  • Must be able to operate forklift and scissor lift with training.
