Wells Enterprises Director Retail Strategic Regional Accounts in Chicago, Illinois

As the Strategic Regional Sales Director, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and achieving revenue targets of over $300M with our Strategic Regional customers across the United States. The role involves leading a high-performance sales team, developing, and implementing effective sales strategies, and building strong relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. Sales Leadership: Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets. Provide coaching, guidance, and performance feedback to the team. Identify areas of strength and opportunities for the team, and create hands-on learning experiences for team members, and partner with OD team to design and develop training for the team.

  2. Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a regional sales strategy aligned with overall company objectives. Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sales strategies with marketing, product development, and supply chain efforts.

  3. Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and accounts. Work closely with major retail partners, distributors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful product placement and promotions.

  4. Sales Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement. Implement data-driven decision-making processes to enhance sales effectiveness.

  5. Budget Management: Develop and manage the regional sales budget, ensuring cost-effective strategies and resource allocation. Provide regular financial reporting to executive leadership. Accountable for effective sales planning, forecast management and trade management.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA is a plus).

EXPERIENCE:

6+ years of experience in sales leadership roles within the CPG industry.
