The Director of Business & Revenue Operations is a crucial role and is responsible for overseeing the operational aspects of the firm and optimizing the day-to-day departmental operations. The Director of Business & Revenue Operations provides leadership, management, and vision necessary to ensure that the organization has the proper operational controls, administrative processes, reporting procedures and reliable operating systems in place to effectively grow the organization and to ensure the operating efficiency of the firm. This position requires a hands-on leader with strong organizational, managerial, and communication skills. The Director of Business & Revenue Operations assists with the successful growth of the company by providing sound operational advice to the President.

The Director of Business & Revenue Operations directs the activities of Information Technology, Trading Operations, and office management for all office locations to develop the operational goals of the organization. Key responsibilities include ensuring efficiency with the I.T. systems, overseeing consistent application of the Trading Operations, maintaining operational structure throughout the firm, and forecasting various needs to improve overall operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior management to establish operational policies and procedures for current and future needs, gain alignment on the best method for fulfilling those needs, and monitor ongoing effectiveness

  • Develops, establishes, and implements the execution of operating strategies for the organization that aligns with the overall goals and objectives of the firm

  • Work on-site Monday - Friday

  • Spearhead the development, communication and implementation of the effective growth strategies and process for each assigned department

  • In conjunction with the management team, develop and implement strategic initiatives for the infrastructure of our systems, processes, and personnel to enhance efficiency, productivity, and overall business performance

  • Lead and mentor your team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement

  • Provide guidance and support to department leaders in the execution of their responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency

  • Streamline workflows and ensure seamless communication between departments

  • Maximize the capabilities and usage of our CRM (Monday.com) and tactically incorporating the application into departments

  • Ensure efficiency and consistent application of all aspects of the IT department

  • Oversee and implement IT systems and software to ensure that it is appropriate for our needs

  • Administer the resource allocation, ensuring optimal utilization of our staff, equipment, and technology

  • Monitor and manage budgets related to operations, identifying cost-saving opportunities

  • Implement and monitor quality control measures to ensure the highest standards ensuring an effective and efficient infrastructure to conduct business

  • Collaborate with relevant teams to address and resolve quality issues promptly

  • Develop and maintain systems of internal controls while identifying potential operational risks, and develop strategies to mitigate them to safeguard and minimize the firm’s operational risk

  • Establish and maintain contingency plans to ensure business continuity

  • Establish key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of internal and external operational processes and regularly evaluate/report on the performance to communicate operational effectiveness

  • Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvement

  • Oversee and organize company volunteer events

  • Overall provide firm communication related to approved holidays, weather updated and any other related issues

  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field

  • Over 7 years of Director level operations management experience

  • Securities Industry Essentials and Series 27 (or pass within 120 days from start date)

  • Experience with multi-geographic operations and direct management of staff

  • Extensive practical and hands-on knowledge of operations management, preferably within the highly regulated securities financial industry

  • Effective team leader, willing and able to manage, coach and develop others fostering a team environment

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking skills and problem solving abilities

  • Able to maintain confidentiality, prioritize workload, work well independently under pressure, meet deadlines and maintain focus and attention to detail

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

  • Manage staff, performing regular employee reviews and plans for improvement

  • Advanced computer skills with various systems including MS Word, Excel, and Monday.com

  • Working knowledge of programming languages (C+ and Python)
