Job Title: Corporate Paralegal – Transactions & Legal Ops

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Corporate Paralegal to join our legal team. In this position, you will play a vital role in supporting our high-growth firm in various legal and administrative functions involving the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industries. This role requires a professional demeanor, sense of urgency, results-focus, strong technology competence and the ability to keep sensitive material and conversations strictly confidential. Expert level written and verbal communication skills, strong decision-making ability and attention to detail are equally important.

Essential Functions:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts and agreements.

  • File and manage contracts and corporate governance documents.

  • Maintain and update our contract repository, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.

  • Collaborate with different departments to understand contract requirements and implications.

  • Stay abreast of legal and regulatory developments affecting the AEC industry.

  • Provide innovative solutions to complex contractual challenges.

  • Handle information requests to and from other company personnel, including research of legal matters and historical information from company records and information from other departments regarding corporate entities, commercial transactions, and litigation.

    Key Qualifications and Competencies:

    The successful candidate will be capable of independent action, understand implications of work and make decisive recommendations for solutions and/or other improvements. The sensitive and highly confidential nature of information accessed and exchanged requires discretion, integrity, confidentiality, and tact.

    Requirements include:

  • Paralegal Degree or Certification required; Bachelor’s Degree in business or law preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in contract review/management or a similar role.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working on AEC industry-related contracts.

  • Proficiency in using technology for contract management and other legal functions.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the

    organization.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a forward-thinking mindset.

  • Ability to think outside the box and approach tasks with creativity and innovation.

  • Ability to understand general business operations, concepts, issues, and dynamics beyond the scope of basic legal issues.

  • Driven and self-motivated with a strong desire for learning.
