Job Summary:

The Business Intelligence Analyst is an integral part of the Business Intelligence team. This role will support a variety of functional areas by helping answer critical business questions based on data insights. Additionally, this role will provide analysis and expertise to help the business make strategic decisions and drive growth.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain dashboards used by cross functional department leads that drive business decisions.

  • Improve existing reports that are deemed business critical.

  • Analyze ad hoc data to provide insights to key cross functional teams including but not limited to; Operations, HR, IT, Finance, Accounting, and Compliance.

  • Collaborate closely with the Datawarehouse team to develop standard reports that can be regularly utilized by the business.

  • Problem solve data anomalies to diagnose root cause of the discrepancy and help identify a solution.

  • Compiles and contributes to maintaining accurate supporting documentation such as data dictionaries that will help the business digest new business insights.

  • Build effective relationships with all cross functional teams.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong analytical skills and highly detail oriented.

  • Ability to translate technical details into end-user language.

  • A natural problem solver with a desire to “dig into the data” and understand the how the insights impact the business.

  • Demonstrated ability to be analytically proactive and solution oriented.

  • Proven track record thriving in a performance metric centric role.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Statistics, Data Analytics, Finance, Economics or related field.

  • Two (2) + years of experience in a financial analyst, business intelligence, or data analyst role.

  • Advanced in all Microsoft Office software, specifically, PowerBI, and Excel.

  • Intermediate to advanced SQL experience.

  • Predictive analytics experience a plus.

  • Snowflake experience a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer

  • Ability to travel 10% of time; may fluctuate based on business needs

  • Majority (90%) of work is conducted indoors in air-conditioned or well-ventilated facilities.
