Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Business Analyst in Chicago, Illinois. This role primarily involves consulting with various business units to determine technology requirements and support organizational business goals. You will be expected to review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs, document requirements, define scope, objectives, and design systems to parallel overall business strategies.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the implementation of system software, including data conversion to the new system and resolve system problems.

• Define project requirements based on the expressed needs of customers and identify alternatives when necessary.

• Document and diagram existing and new workflows to help business units identify opportunities for efficiency.

• Prioritize requirements based on business benefit/impact and cost.

• Produce business system documentation for new and existing applications.

• Serve as a liaison and facilitator between business units and system development personnel.

• Document, perform and coordinate system testing activities, including developing and executing system UAT test plans.

• Assist in the planning, implementation and coordination of new system training and document test results.

• Define curriculum, design material and train End Users on in-house software.

• Monitor project/enhancement release timelines for multiple software applications and report status and issues to Management.

• Communicate prioritization and requirements to Management.

• Lead client-facing status meetings to communicate objectives, plans, status, and results clearly, focusing on key points.

• Partner with functional experts to identify ownership and coordinate knowledge transfers. Requirements • Proficient in data workflows

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Ability to work in a team and collaborate effectively

• Proficient in use of business intelligence tools

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines

• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work

• Familiarity with data modeling and design techniques

• Understanding of systems engineering concepts

• Ability to conduct cost/benefit analysis

• Business case development skills

• Understanding of internet, intranet, extranet and client/server architectures
