Description

We're seeking a highly motivated BIM Application Administrator - Electrical to join our team! In this role, you'll be responsible for supporting, developing, and maintaining our BIM infrastructure, with a focus on electrical design and engineering.

The responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Champion the use of BIM (AutoCAD Electrical, Revit, Navisworks, Autodesk BIM Collaborate Pro, SBS, Primtech) on multi-disciplinary projects.

  • Understand and manage deliverables like 3D models, 2D drawings, and data exchange.

  • Foster a thriving community of AutoCAD Electrical and SBS users.

  • Provide comprehensive support and guidance to designers on BIM applications.

  • Collaborate with electrical engineers to ensure efficient control and wiring data management.

  • Build strong relationships with design and engineering teams.

  • Continuously improve our environment and workflows.

  • Develop and deliver internal training on BIM tools and processes.

  • Shape the future of BIM within our organization through strategic planning.

  • Create and maintain clear modeling standards and training documentation.

  • Set up and support BIM/CAD workspaces for optimal efficiency.

  • Participate in testing new software versions for seamless integration.

  • Automate tasks and develop software solutions to enhance BIM/CAD implementation.

  • Identify and define requirements for custom BIM application extensions.

Qualifications

Essential skills and experience:

  • Minimum associate degree in Drafting & Design (or equivalent experience)

  • At least 5 years of experience with enterprise-level BIM/CAD applications such as

  • Autodesk: Electrical, Revit, Navisworks

  • SBS (Substation Design Suite): SDS P&C, SDS Physical

  • Primtech Substation Design Suite

  • Bentley: Open Plant, Open Buildings Designer

  • Proven track record in BIM/CAD administration (minimum 5 years)

  • Experience with multi-discipline, integrated design projects

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to lead and train others.

    Valued but not required skills and experience:

  • Experience with AutoLisp, Visual Basic, .NET programming, or SQL Server
