Lodge Management Group Bartender in Chicago, Illinois

We are looking for enthusiastic bartenders to provide an excellent guest drinking experience at many of our locations. Whether you prefer working in a sports bar, late-night clubs, dog-friendly bars, or working to the sound of live music at our piano bar, we have the perfect fit for you! Good bartenders will be able to create classic and innovative drinks exceeding customers’ needs and expectations while providing that friendly, neighborhood feel. Compensation includes hourly salary + tips and venue discounts.

To be considered for this role, you should be legally authorized to work in a bar where alcoholic beverages are served and consumed. You should also be available to work in shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays (Blackout Dates for no time off requests may include, but are not limited to: St. Patrick's Day weekend, Memorial Day Weekend, Labor Day Weekend, New Years Eve)

Responsibilities

  • Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons

  • Interact with customers, take orders and serve snacks and drinks

  • Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations

  • Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails

  • Plan and present bar menu

  • Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age

  • Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies

  • Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience

  • Comply with all food and beverage regulations

Requirements

  • Resume and proven working experience as a bartender

  • Excellent knowledge of in mixing, garnishing and serving drinks

  • Computer literacy

  • Knowledge of a second language is a plus

  • Positive attitude and excellent communication skills

  • Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean

  • Relevant training certificates (BASSET, Food Handlers)
