Overview\ The PepsiCo Life Sciences Engagement Team, composed of both the Gatorade Sports Science Institute and Health and Nutrition Sciences, is responsible for strategic coordination and execution of Life Science related internal and external science communication and partnership programs to help achieve growth by building the credibility of our brand positionings and communicating our corporate PepsiCo Positive (PEP+) goals. Responsibilities\ This Associate Principal Scientist role will support our team that drives internal and external engagement to explain the science behind our brands and portfolio to key opinion leaders and consumer influencers, with particular emphasis on scientific content creation and translation directed towards academic and practitioner audiences.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:\ * Work with cross-functional Life Sciences team members to identify and create new consumer/customer-friendly scientific content (both static and digital) highlighting the scientific work of the team\ * Review current Life Sciences content and translate the messaging and materials into compelling static and digital mediums\ * Collaborate with PepsiCo communication teams to define and develop compelling stories that promote the work of LS for external stakeholders\ * Support the execution of the Life Sciences social media presence\ * Support the coordination, planning and execution of external scientific conferences across the LS Engagement team, as well as operational support to the continuing education programs for health professionals

Compensation & Benefits:\ * The expected compensation range for this position is between \$85,200 - \$142,650 based on a full-time schedule\ * Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary\ * Bonus based on performance and eligibility; target payout is 10% of annual salary paid out annually\ * Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement\ * In addition to salary, PepsiCo offers a comprehensive benefits package to support our employees and their families, subject to elections and eligibility: Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Health and Dependent Care Reimbursement Accounts, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Insurance (Accident, Group Legal, Life), Defined Contribution Retirement Plan.

Qualifications\ * Masters degree in nutrition, or related discipline, with 5+ year experience. PhD preferred, RDN an advantage\ * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills\ * Creative ability to translate complex scientific information to technical and non-technical audiences. Experience creating translation materials (e.g., infographics, videos, GIFs, etc.) highly desirable\ * Strong ability to work and communicate effectively in cross functional teams. Experience with storytelling and/or collaborating with communication agency partners an advantage\ * Experience with social media an advantage\ * Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.\ * Flexibility and ability to work with diverse cultural backgrounds, personalities, work styles within various levels of the organization\ * Travel required approx. 15%
