Public Consulting Group Systems Analyst 1 - Product Owner in Cheyenne, Wyoming

Overview

The Health group within PCG's Financial & Strategic Solutions (FSS) Center of Excellence (COE) is seeking a Systems Analyst 1. PCG Health supports hundreds of healthcare providers and State Medicaid agencies to provide cost allocation plans and time studies, cost settlement and supplemental payment strategies, delivery system reform, performance management, quality improvement, and Medicaid cost reporting services. This position will work on our Business IT Team, assisting as a liaison to our technology development team. They will be fully engaged and should have a firm understanding of the tools within each product line. The position will report to the Business IT Relationship Manager, whose overall goal is to achieve a smooth delivery and management of our clients’ requests. While this position will be part of the business team, they must have an understanding of software development processes, preferably agile and scrum processes. Ultimately, they will work to develop new functionality from the business side, write in-depth user stories, test functionality, and support the software tools.

The Systems Analyst 1 will ideally have strong analytical and technical skillsets. They will work with clients and must have excellent customer service, organizational, attention to detail, and analytic skills. This individual must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team. They must have the ability to organize and plan work efficiently within set time limits, as well as review numerous data points while paying strict attention to detail. The candidate must be able to communicate openly and effectively with clients and internally, manage significant amounts of data, and produce written analysis and reports.

Responsibilities

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Designs information systems solutions to help the organization operate more efficiently and effectively.

· Conducts Requirements Gathering Sessions.

· Creates artifacts relative to project initiatives.

· Interact with project managers to develop a strong understanding of the systems and functionality and testing objectives.

· Participate in troubleshooting and triaging of issues with business/development teams to drive towards root cause identification and resolution.

· Document, track, and escalate issues as appropriate.

· Work within a team to complete system functionality user acceptance testing, data analysis, and related tasks.

· Communicate effectively with clients (both internal and external) to provide information and answer questions.

· Identifies opportunities for streamlining procedures by applying IT best practices.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

· Strong familiarity with Systems Development Lifecycle

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

· Ability to manage time to meet critical deadlines

· Proven ability to take initiative to move daily work forward

· Ability to use sound judgment in completing tasks and to seek guidance when needed

· Strong attention to detail

· Creative problem-solving ability

· Commitment to exceptional client service

· Experience writing in-depth user stories

· Experience with software development tools such as Team Foundation Server (TFS) or Jira

· Software development training (desired)

Q ualifications :

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required

Experience: 2+ years’ experience in software development

Working Conditions:

Remote work setting

Low to no travel expected (maximum 10% travel)

Compensation

Compensation for roles at Public Consulting Group varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, PCG provides the following reasonable range of compensation for this role: $80,000-$95,000. In addition, PCG provides a range of benefits for this role, including medical and dental care benefits, 401k, PTO, parental leave, bereavement leave.
