Summary:

The Concept Artist is responsible for creating development art, helping teams execute designs that will define the future of AR/VR. Our creative teams, spread across several locations, are focused on creating content that invites users to engage in social, immersive, real-time experiences. Required Skills:

Concept Artist Responsibilities:

  1. Define and evolve artistic direction, vision and high production standard in the creation of products within the team in direct collaboration with creative, technical and production leaders.

  2. Support R&D and prototyping to reach creative solutions to technical challenges.

  3. Collaborate on the creation of style guides and related materials for internal and external teams.

  4. Communicate visual goals with cross-functional internal and external partners.

  5. Create production concepts and polished 2D marketing assets.

  6. Manage expectations for cross functional partners.

  7. Ability to collaborate and iterate based on the team's needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 3+ years of experience in game development as a Concept Artist or equivalent experience in film or TV.

  2. Experience to clearly articulate visual vision to a team of multidisciplinary contributors, technical artists, 3D artists, etc., to arrive at the desired visual goal.

  3. Experience to define and drive varied art styles, from stylised to realistic.

  4. Knowledge of art and visual design principles and techniques relating to environment design.

  5. Understanding of art pipelines including: art creation processes (both 2D and 3D), technology requirements and advancements, trade-offs, and challenges associated with development.

  6. Organizational skills with the experience to work on multiple projects, set priorities, and meet deadlines and expectations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience with visual development and/or architectural visualization.

  2. Knowledge of emerging technologies.

  3. Knowledge of 3D software packages such as Maya, 3DsMax, Blender..

  4. Technical understanding of standard game engines such as Unity or Unreal and art pipelines.

  5. Virtual reality experience (Rift, Vive, GearVR, etc.).

Public Compensation:

$149,000/year to $205,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
